NATCHITOCHES – The Northwestern State University Trombone Choir and Quintet will present its spring concert on Wednesday, April 7 at 7:30 p.m. in Magale Recital Hall. Attendance is limited to 85 NSU faculty, students and staff. Social distancing and masks are required. The event will be livestreamed at capa.nsula.edu/livestream. Professor of Trombone and Low Brass J. Mark Thompson will conduct the Trombone Choir and Quintet.
Selections feature the various instruments in the trombone family, including bass trumpet, alto trombone, tenor trombone, bass trombone and contrabass trombone. The program includes “Tower Music” by Vaclav Nelhybel, “Bruckner Etüde für das tiefe Blech” by Enrique Crespo, “Reflection and Celebration” by David Wilborn and “Video Game Medley” arranged by Adam Kosberg.
