NATCHITOCHES – The University Programming Council (UPC) at Northwestern State University received the prestigious Association for Promotion of Campus Activities 2023 Regional Programming Board of the Year Award at the organization’s recent regional conference in Houston. The award signified UPC’s “exceptional performance and dedication.” NSU also received second place awards in both print material and novelty items categories. Representing NSU at the conference were, from left, Spring Manager Petra Williams, UPC Coordinators Chris James and Kenadie Cummings and Community Outreach Supervisor Noah Melvin. The University Programming Council is responsible for providing fun and entertaining programs for all students on Northwestern State’s campus. UPC hosts several events each semester ranging from coffee houses, student game shows, concerts, carnivals and much more including the annual Miss Northwestern – Lady of the Bracelet Scholarship Program.
