NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University will host voice actor and NSU alum Andy Field to speak to art, film and music business students.  Field will speak at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 14 in Magale Recital Hall. The talk is free and open to the public

Field is the voice of the last five games in the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise of video games, including Help Wanted, for which he was twice nominated for a Voice Arts Award.  He can also be heard in the latest Five Nights at Freddy’s trailer, a role he is reprising for the latest game.  His catchphrase “Exotic Butters,” has evolved into hundreds of YouTube remixes and an Exotic Butters plushie from Funko.

Field also voices characters in the D&D game Dragonheir: Silent Gods, the horse-villain Klive in the Zelda throwback Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore and Bahamut in the 90s reboot “Contra Returns” and Paladins as Omega Sha Lin, the futuristic archer. A Marvel fan, field voiced the Kree superhero Noh-Varr in Marvel’s Avengers Academy AND 3D Man in the addictive card game Marvel SNAP.

Field has voiced national commercials for Invesco QQQ, TurboTax, Nike, Mercedes, EZ Cater, State Farm, Lowe’s, New York Life, Homewood Suites, Virgin Mobile and Walmart, among others. He has appeared as a soldier in Avengers: EndGame, a savior in AMC’s The Walking Dead and a special agent in NCIS: New Orleans.

A former teacher, Field enjoys sharing and teaching acting and business-of-acting seminars and panels all over the world.

Field graduated from NSU in 1996 with a degree in elementary education with a minor in military science. He served with the U.S. Army Reserve for more than 32 years.
